The world of software engineering is exploding.  We now see software being developed for all sorts of applications, having a huge impact on our day-to-day lives.  If you like to modify and improve existing products and processes, and you like to play around with technology, maybe you have a software engineer lurking inside you!

In this episode we sit down with Trevor Douglas to learn about the Software Systems Engineering program at the University of Regina.  Trevor has been teaching software engineering laboratories for 20 years!  In this conversation he talks about what he learned in industry, and explains what Software Systems engineering is all about.  Trevor shares some fun examples of how software engineers help solve real-world problems, and he offers advice to young people thinking about a career in software engineering.
